It’s strange to know that what Narendra Modi has always quoted Gujarat as...... is so much different from reality! ‘Our farmers travel in Maruti cars.... unlike other farmers in India” Modi has always said!
But with the recent number of suicide rates increasing in the state, it reflects the other side of the story! People there are so much in debt that ’suicide’ is the only option left.
The more paining fact is that its consequences have to be bared by women who already are in a bad state. These ladies are not allowed to step out of their home, not even to fetch water....! Moreover the responsibility of children also comes on their head. So with children as her strength, the Gujarat women prefer to boldly lead her life, unlike her other half who surrendered himself!
The condition of farmers there is still worse. The 500 gm jeans which we get for 1700 from showroom, the farmer gets just Rs 15 for that 500 Gms cotton...........
But the other picture which is being made by the Modi’s Govt. is actually visa-versa. According to him, the farmers have sufficient land and other facilities to make him fulfill all his family needs sufficiently!
To make the matter worst comes SEZ.Already in tears farmers are left with no choice than to give their small land and free themselves from this atrocious life by hanging themselves to death.
With their holed ‘chappals‘ and shattered hearts, they are still looking forward to Narendra Modi, that maybe someday, his humanity may arise and things may change for some good!
